South Australian Summer

South Australian Summer

I painted this last summer in Adelaide when it was stinking hot and it felt like the sky was melting.

I haven't framed it, but a friend wanted to buy it and so she now has it on her wall framed.

I can feel the heat ... NEW
by: Jane (from UK)

Hi Denise - as you'll see from my paintings I'm not an abstract person ... I should love to be able to make my paintings more "painterly" or to try abstracts but I simply don't seem to get there.

However, I've looked at your painting several times and I can "feel the heat" and somehow the picture also seems to fit with the Australian landscape. Lovely colour choice too!

I wonder if you sent it over here it would make our autumn and winter seem a little less cool!

Best wishes and happy painting - Jane
