Path In The Fog

Path In The Fog

I'm studying impressionism, Monet to be specific. I'm even asking the Universe to let me tap into his energy.

Been only painting for 4+ months and I'm addicted. I've done a series of 3 of these and with each one, I'm learning how to create more depth.

It's not crash hot, but Im seeing my progress. Cheers. tpj

I like your paintings you capture thoughts that lie within and you are able to bring them out in the open
Even from you early small one in the bathroom to the more recent larger clams and especially the after the storm, keep it going

Hello Tom....you are doing well for such a short time....I think your painting could be enhanced by better balancing of your darks....more on the left. Also bring your tree on right side into the painting more, instead of chopped off look about it.....will be better balanced. otherwise a nice painting....keep up the good work

I really like this and would love to see it in real life. I like the colours and atmosphere - it's really subtle and interesting.

Congratulations.

good try NEW

I like your attempt at impressionism. I have only tried twice to paint something impressionistic and it is certainly more difficult than you might think. I like Monet and have looked at alot of his work in books. His standards certainly vary all the way to where his paintings are impressionism 'over the top' in my opinion. It might have been when he was having eyesight problems later in his life. The other impressionist are worth a look. One I like is Berthe Morisot.....she did alot of domestic scenes, really good.
