After I retired from full time work I went on a holiday to New Zealand. One of the places I stayed at was Greymouth on the West coast of the South Island.
The morning was very overcast and the sea was crashing into the breakwater, sometimes spraying high into the air - great photo material.
I was inspired by one of the photos I took, to try painting the scene. This is the first time I have painted a landscape after having creating paintings by experimenting with paint pouring techniques.
