After 38 years of dreaming of being a painter. Drawing and working with graphite, charcoal, hard pastels and oil pastels, mostly beginner or novice quality at best.
A couple of watercolor decent mistakes, and a visionary evening sail boat with distant sparklingly lit shore.
Watching endless YouTube painting videos, including some by Mark Waller, I put paint to canvas board in January of 2017 when I was 49. An amazing first year of 16 paintings has been followed by a bleak second year. Bigger painting ideas but slow progress.
My first year I did a series from photographs that I’d Taken of some marshlands looking east towards the Sierra Nevadas in Northern California. Hope you like this.
Sincerely, Robert Louis
Ps. Thank you for your inspiration!
