Aravaipa Canyon - Arizona Painted in Acrylic

I started painting a year ago after retiring. I started drawing as a way to pass time and found I got pretty good at drawing after a few months. I decided to take up painting just to see if I could. Since I have had no formal training, I I didn't have a lot of hope that I would be able to paint anything that I would want to share with friends.

I friend of mine took a photo and shared it with me of Aravaipa Canyon and I thought it would make a great painting, s here is my interpretation. I hope you enjoy.
