A Portrait of Zakk

I rarely paint portraits, but a friend persuaded me to do this one.

The subject is a Blues/Rock singer by the name of Zakk Wylde.

It was painted on a 12" x 18" canvas, using Createx acrylics.

I used both an airbrush and conventional brushes to render it.

The hair was rendered by applying the base colors, then using the point of a scalpel to scratch in the highlights.
